Does DartNode block ports?
By default, DartNode does not block any ports — you're free to use any port you need. However, we do monitor for abuse and maintain protections to ensure network health.
โ ๏ธ When Are Ports Blocked?
If your assigned IP address is listed on one or more of the blacklists we monitor, DartNode will automatically filter/block all outbound traffic on the following ports until the issue is resolved:
๐ 25 ๐ค SMTP (Email sending) ย ๐ 137 ๐ก NetBIOS Name Service ๐ 138 ๐ก NetBIOS Datagram Service ๐ 139 ๐ก NetBIOS Session Service ๐ 445 ๐งท SMB over TCP ๐ 1688 ๐ KMS Activation ๐ 17 ๐ QOTD (Quote of the Day) ๐ 19 ๐ Chargen (Character Generator) ๐ 1900 ๐บ SSDP (UPnP Discovery) ๐ 53413 ๐ฆ BitTorrent-related ๐ 11211 ๐พ Memcached
๐ How Often Are Filters Updated?
Our filter list is updated every hour, automatically.
We cannot manually override these blocks unless a compelling reason is provided — this is to protect our network and customers from abuse or potential compromise.
