Creating Your DartNode Account

Welcome to DartNode! Setting up an account takes about a minute. You can register ahead of time to look around the dashboard, or have an account created for you automatically when you place your first order. This guide explains both ways, the sign-in options, and what to set up before your first deployment.

Two ways to get an account

Option 1: Create it during checkout

If you already know what you want, go ahead and order it. DartNode creates your account as part of checkout, so there's no separate signup step.

Option 2: Register first

To look around the dashboard or prepare your account before you buy anything, register directly:

  1. Go to app.dartnode.com/gateway/join. You can also click Join Today on app.dartnode.com.
  2. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and a password, then type the password again in Confirm Password.
  3. Click Join Today. You'll be logged in and taken to your dashboard.

Use an email address you check regularly and plan to keep. Invoices, suspension warnings, abuse notices, and password resets all go there. If that inbox goes dead, you can miss notices that affect your services.

Signing up with Google or Discord (SSO)

If you'd rather not manage another password, you can sign up and log in with an existing Google or Discord account:

  1. On the login or registration page, click Google or Discord.
  2. Approve DartNode on the provider's authorization screen.
  3. You'll be sent back to DartNode and logged in.

With SSO, your login security depends on that provider account, so turn on two-factor authentication there as well. If SSO stops working, see I Cannot Log In with Google or Discord.

Recommended setup before your first deployment

StepWhy it matters
Complete any verification you're prompted forEmail, phone, or identity verification may be needed before services are provisioned.
Add your billing address and a payment method at app.dartnode.com/billingRequired to purchase and renew services.
Turn on two-factor authenticationYour DartNode account can create, rebuild, and destroy servers. A stolen password shouldn't be enough to do that.
Read How Billing WorksDartNode bills on the calendar month with proration credits. That's different from many other hosts, and knowing it up front avoids confusion on your first invoice.

Common signup errors

  • "Account Already Exists" means that email is already registered, possibly from an earlier order or an SSO login. Log in instead, or reset your password.
  • "Account Blocked" means the account tied to that email has been blocked. Creating a new account with a different email won't get around this. Contact support, and see I See "Account Blocked".
